Einav Tayeb-Fligelman lab!

Our lab investigates how amyloids - protein assemblies with both functional and pathological roles, form, spread, and impact human health. We combine cryo-electron microscopy, biochemistry, and cellular models to uncover the molecular mechanisms that drive amyloid formation and propagation in neurodegenerative and infectious diseases, and to identify ways to modulate or disrupt these processes. By integrating structural insights with therapeutic design, we aim to bridge the gap between molecular understanding and clinical relevance, paving the way for new strategies to combat amyloid-related diseases.

Lab Manager Position

Requirements:

PhD in biological sciences, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field
Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques (advantage)
Prior lab management or student mentoring experience (preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Graduate students

Highly motivated students with a GPA of 85 and above who are interested in amyloid and protein biochemistry, biophysics, and structural biology are encouraged to apply for M.Sc. and Ph.D. positions.

Postdocs

We welcome postdoctoral candidates with a background in structural biology, preferably cryo-EM and/or cryo-ET, or in the molecular biochemistry of amyloids. Applicants should have a strong publication record and excellent recommendations.
